Nikon D3200 Digital Slr Camera Reviews

I have been using Nikon cameras professionally for over 20 years. The D3200 is a perfect backup or travel companion. This camera is extraordinary. The image quality and price can't be beat. A camera like this would have cost a professional thousands of dollars just a few years ago. I LOVE this camera.

I was sceptical about the need for 24mp and what an entry level camera could do. I went to Hunts in Melrose MA and I took two shots with my 40mm 1x macro and 1 x distant on three bodies, the D40x, the D3200 and the D5100.

The D40x was crushed by both the other two cameras. The colour saturation on both the D5100 and the d3200 were on par but the D3200?s resolution even blew the D5100 away!!

I got a good deal on the trade in of my D40x and I am now the happy owner of a D3200 and I'm blown away with the image quality! I'm not sure what Nikon was thinging but this enty level dslr beats the 5100 on resolution which make me think it might also have better resolution than the D7000!!

I'm happy with mine and my advice to anyone interested is to test the various cameras and judge for yourself. If you want more bells and whistles and less resolution go with the D5100, however if you are like me and want the best image quality then go with the D3200.

So I'm pratically in love with this camera. It's very easy to use and the Guide Mode really helps if you have no idea what you are doing. Red makes the camera slick, classy, and it's absolutely beautiful. I really encourage you that it's a great starter DSLR for not the only the price, but the feautures come with it. You will absolutely love it!

This camera (D3200) is really amazing. You are getting for a few pennies an almost professional camera with a fantastic lens and features that I really don't understand how Nikon can incorporate in such a small, rugged and beautiful package. I have tested everything it offers and it is really a waste of money spending several thousand bucks for a so-called professional Nikon when you can obtain top performance with this beautiful camera costing a fraction of high end cameras. Now, if you want to show-off, get the D4 but the results will be almost the same, believe me!!

Easy to use and can make anyone seem like they've been shooting for years. simple ease of use and Nikon has always been my favorite. I grew up shooting 35mm and taking this to the 35mmDSLR this was the best transition camera for me. Hind sight tells me I should have looked at a few other features but this is a bargain at this price. I think I would however opt for just the camera body and buy a lens with a better F stop. 1.8 or at least a 2.8 allowing for better night time photography. Night life, restaurants or stars in the sky. this is a great first camera as it is though. no regrets.

First of all I spend at least two months looking at different cameras to shot videos with. My wife had brought me a cool handheld JVC for a buck fifty. This is what started the buzz. Once I used iMovie on my mac to make movie trailer of our vacation I began youtubing dsrl camera video and realize an upgrade was in my very near future. Thanks to some of the cool and informative comments by Amazon customers I chose the Nikon 3200, I shot super 8 video in high school for my football team a stone age So I always was inspired to to be behind the camera but now this is hobby turn to a business. I several jobs lined to shot YouTube video individuals as well as a few businesses. If your looking for a good camera and can spare the five bills get one you will not be disappointed.

I shot the new camera in several modes (raw, standard fine) and the results were fantastic. The results rival my old film cameras, plus. Each image is sharp and reproduces beautifully. In fact I like it so well I gave my D-90 to my son. What more can I say.

D3200 technology is amazing, but I am an accidental photographer, mostly when I travel and take about 1000 pics a year, so I am not a good judge. I wish they found a way to make the camera a little lighter still, though considering what they packed into it it is mind buggling. I still need to learn about how to best use the camera. but for that I'm afraid I must invest in D3200 for Dummies, as reading the text in the manual that came with the camera is instantaneously borring and puts me to sleep. Perhaps the authors of the other book have understood the importance of basic visuals and humor in helping recalcitrant old bags like me to incorporate new tricks.

This is an extraordinary camera, but, if you buy the bundle, read the fine print and the tricky wording carefully. The lenses are an older version and they lack VR (vibration reduction). Nikon is offering superior lenses with VR at a very good price.

Purchased this camera in January 2014. It broke while on vacation in July 2014. Contacted Nikon about repairs and was informed this was a gray market camera and would not be eligible for warrantee in US. Offered to pay for repairs and was told by Nikon they would not repair gray market cameras. Contacted Amazon who told me although camera was past date of return, they would take it back and give a refund. Amazon is great. Beware of this vendor, he sells gray market cameras.

I did not buy it from Amazon but want to share my experience with this DSLR. I am getting error just after 7 month of use. Sent it for repair as it was under warranty. But the error is still there after the repair.

I just took mine out of the box, put in the battery, turned it on, and it's defective. I was repeatedly getting an error that said "turn off and turn back on again." The error message didn't go away and I couldn't even use the camera. I called customer service and they confirmed that there's something wrong with the camera. I needed it for a trip I'm leaving for in about 4 days. So thanks, Nikon!
