- Product is from a well-known health brand Meta
- Contains one billion cultures (not nearly enough)
- Uses the strain bifidobacterium infantis (only one)
- Does not contain a prebiotic fiber like NutraFlora
- Offers a limited 60 day money-back guarantee
- Contains nine synthetic fillers and additives
Align Probiotic Supplement contains one billion live cultures of bifidobacterium infantis. However, this is an extremely low number of cultures for a probiotic supplement. The most effective serving sizes should be between 30-50 billion cultures.
It also concerned us that the supplement contained only one strain. You need a variety of good bacteria strains to truly nourish the gut flora. The other supplements on our list have up to
11 different strains that contain clinically proven substrains, boosted by prebiotics.
This product has another drawback. The supplement contains many cheap, synthetic fillers, including magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, and others.
Meta is a very well-known health brand. This product has a lot of positive reviews, however, some of the negative reviews are concerning: reports of increased gas, diarrhea and discomfort. Many users reported no change at all, which could be a side effect of such low serving sizes.
Align Probiotic Supplement has a 60-day money-back return policy. It's a bit difficult to utilize because you must first gather the receipt, UPC, and write a note to mail off for the refund.
However, it is a decent return policy. It's not the best we've seen (like the 1MD Probiotics Platinum 90-day guarantee), but we found this to be a solid offer. Some complaints were centered around this policy and some users were not happy with the overall product or the customer service.
This probiotic was Consumer Surveys' number two pick because it comes from the very well-known brand Meta that has a solid reputation and a relatively decent 60-day money-back guarantee. Our biggest concern remains with the most important setback: the ingredients.
Align Probiotics Supplement offers only one billion live cultures when the others on this list have upwards of 40+ billion. Align also uses one single strain, which leaves out a lot of effective probiotic strains. It also includes many unnatural filler ingredients... too many.

P.S. While 1MD is the best probiotic supplement we've found, we would still love to hear about any others you've tried. If you have had a great experience of your own, please send an email to Beverly@ConsumersSurvey.org with the details.
